Theme Songs for Hillary
Lambert at Corrente says:
Since Barack Obama likes Jay-Z so much, and songs like “99 Problems (But a Bitch Ain’t One)” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” I think it’s only fair that we help her pick out some theme music.
He and the commenters list their choices, including Aretha Franklin’s Respect and Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
My choices are:
I Am Woman by Helen Reddy
Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves by the Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin
or - my personal favorite - This One’s For the Girls by Martina McBride.
So, what songs would you choose for Hillary’s campaign?

Instead of a pro-Hillary tune, what if we took a different tact, and aimed one at both Obama and McCain?
Linda Ronstadt - You’re no good
Feeling better now that we’re through
Feeling better ’cause I’m over you
I learned my lesson, it left a scar
Now I see how you really are
You’re no good
You’re no good
You’re no good
Baby you’re no good
Oooh, good one!
OT, wanted to give you a shout out today Pa. I know it’s going to be hell day for you. We’re all waiting anxiously for the results today!
How about Helen Ready
I Am Woman Hear Me Roar!!!
Thanks for the shout-out, QG! It was rough, although turnout in our county was nowhere near predicted. My precinct had 588 of 1560 registered voters show up - in other words, a slightly-higher than normal turnout for a primary, but far less than the 800+ we saw at the 2006 general election.
Dems turned out almost 2:1 to Republicans. 221 Republicans, 367 Dems, and 240 votes were cast for HRC, 153 for Obama, which includes write-ins on the Republican ballot.
Well, after the Clinton victory in PA…I can’t help but think of Elton John’s
THE Bitch is Back
I mean that complimentary. Don’t count her out. ALL strong women get pegged as Bitches, why not capitalize on it.
When you are facing down Terrorism, Two Wars, An economy in crisis, poverty, mediocre ( or worse) education, an envirionmental crisis, etc, wouldn’t you prefer a Bitch.
Bitches are known for getting the job done.
Indira Ghandi, Golda Meir, Margaret Thasher, Evita Perrone,
all had the Bitch factor, and for good or not, they set goals and accomplished what they felt needed to be done.
The voters may be afraid that having a woman in the White House, will be like answering to your mother after an all night beer binge…Well, congress better get ready, because if Hillary wins the nomination, and then the Presidency…
The Party will be over…
Yes, She’s a Bitch, She’s A Bitch…Lets Hope We can Get The Bitch Back.
Go Girl!!!!
I can’t think of the title or the group, but there is a line in the song I love…
I Get Knocked Down, but I Get Up Again
Nobody is gonna keep me down…
Go Hillary…to the “Bitter” end.
That’s Chumbawumba’s song Tub-thumping.
