I guess these people are kinda busy, because I got hit with the google string “piedmont 727 midair collision” on a post I did in June of 2006.
One of the victims was slated to become Secretary of the Navy in August 1967.
Weird.

I also get a lot of hits from the cia and pentagon, I’m guessing because I post a lot about the jihadis over seas and here at home.

I also get a lot of anonymyzer-type hits…those worry me more than anything else.

The visit was 0 seconds, so it was likely a scanner visit.

Hey, government agencies have automatic scanners that look for key words and phrases. No one actually reads this stuff unless the system flags your post. Plus, consider a billion posts world wide daily, those scanners cannot be that sensitive because, there aren’t enough humans to read all those words. Just look at like you would the robot telemarketer that calls your phone at dinnertime.

I'm just glad you wrote this post, because otherwise I wouldn't have known that ICZ is a State domain. (I got to this post through a Google search of ICZ and gov.) I too am amused that the government is listening to me. And apparently, so is Israel. Then again, as program chair of Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, US Section I hope it's not just people on their lunch breaks reading my site.

I guess I’ll see you in detention since they are hitting my journal too. You’d really think they would have something better to do than read about my boring life. Although my oldest daughter thinks it’s likely they can’t believe a child as ungrateful as my youngest daughter exists so they come back looking for more stories about her since I post about her all the time. I left them a note in my journal today in fact

QG: I just think it’s somewhat weird when the gov’t normally doesn’t know I’m alive (unless I forget to pay taxes.) I guess as long as I’m not inciting violent revolution or assassination, I’ve got nothing to worry about…but it’s still kinda freaky.

Maybe our gov’t visitors could email or leave a comment, like: “Just stopping in, not going to rendition you anytime soon” or “We’re friendly. Don’t freak!”?

Interestingly enough, shortly after I posted here, the CIA showed up on my list of viewers and went out on a link to one of mu musician friends. Now, normally, wouldn't get too worried about it but these friends are overseas in North Africa. Think I should let them know?

As long as the surfers are on “our” side, I’m happy.

I hope no one takes this post too seriously. I’ve just been having fun laughing at myself because of the nightmares I mentioned earlier. It’s also a big joke amongst my family…like having to avoid Cuba because I have to avoid UV exposure, and Uzbekistan because I have a low tolerance for cold, etc.

I get hits from all sorts of government sites. A friend of mine who works for one of those agencies told me it’s probably just people like her surfing on a break. But you never know.

That’s good to know! Really, I’m not so paranoid as to think the NSA’s out to get me, but it’s kinda odd – on top of my wierd nightmares – to think this little blog is being seen by someone at the Pentagon and at State.
